The Career Planning Center acknowledges that recruiting talented law students can be challenging in an ever-changing legal market. The staff is available to help make that daunting task easier by connecting employers to the Law School's diverse, impressive and skilled student body through a variety of recruiting programs and networking opportunities.
Because Connecticut has one of the most liberal student practice rules in the country, UConn Law students are permitted to represent clients in an unlimited array of civil, criminal and administrative matters. The wide variety of clinical and externship opportunities offered at UConn Law enables students to develop real-world lawyering skills in many substantive practice areas before they graduate.
Further, through the Law School's Pro Bono Pledge program, students participate in supervised pro bono activities and community service projects.
The Career Planning Center invites employers to connect with our students and graduates through various recruiting programs. The Career Planning Center recognizes that employers often have recruiting needs that fall outside of any formal recruiting program. To assist with those needs, we maintain a free, online, interactive recruiting site, Symplicity, where employers may post jobs directly.
