Tom Farrish is a partner at Day Pitney LLP, resident in the firm’s Hartford office. Tom’s law practice focuses on insurance and reinsurance disputes and other complex commercial litigation. Tom represents insurance companies and agents in state and federal courts in a wide variety of matters involving claims under general liability, property, automobile, life, health and marine insurance policies. He has also represented ceding companies and reinsurers in over thirty domestic and international reinsurance arbitrations, in fields as diverse as property/casualty, life, long term care, ocean marine and mortgage guaranty.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Connecticut and a juris doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he graduated first in his class and served as editor-in-chief of the Connecticut Law Review. Before practicing law, Tom had a thirteen-year career in the property/casualty industry, managing and analyzing complex claims for a prominent multi-line carrier. Tom holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
