Barbara is the executive director of the Connecticut Urban Legal Initiative (CULI), a nonprofit legal transactional clinical organization located on the UConn Law School campus that educates law students and provides effective legal services to nonprofit groups addressing urban issues. Barbara previously served as founder and executive director of the statewide public-private partnership, the Community Economic Development Fund, and as Connecticut’s deputy banking commissioner during a period of significant turbulence in the Connecticut banking landscape. Barbara serves on a number of nonprofit boards including the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority. She received a B.A. from Yale College and a J.D. from UConn Law.
