Angelo Paul Sevarino is currently Of Counsel to the firm of Morrissey, Morrissey & Mooney LLC. He has been in private practice for 36 years and prior to that held various positions in the insurance industry. Currently he provides consultation services for various lawyers and firms in Connecticut specializing in Medicare Set-asides and Medicare Secondary Payer issues. He earned his BA’71(psychology), MA’72(educational psychology) from the University of Connecticut and his JD’78 from Western New England College School of Law.
He has authored treaties in workers’ compensation (Connecticut Workers’ Compensation After Reforms” now in its Sixth Edition) and Medicare Set-asides and Social Security Offsets (“Practitioner’s Reference Manual To Settlements, Offsets & Set-Asides - Second Edition (April, 2016)), all published by the Atlantic Law Book Company. He has also written numerous articles on these subjects.
He is a Fellow of The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, the recipient of the 2005 Achievement Award presented by the Connecticut Italian American Bar Association and the 2007 recipient of the Edward Pomeranz/Edward O’Brien Memorial Award for Excellence and Achievement presented by the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
