Jessica de Perio Wittman Joins SALLD Board

Professor Jessica de Perio Wittman, director of the law library at UConn School of Law, has been appointed a member-at-large of the Executive Committee of the Society of American Law Library Directors. She was introduced as a member on Jan. 5, 2020, at the annual meeting of the American Association of Law Schools in Washington, D.C.

Professor Jessica de Perio Wittman named to board of Special Education Equity for Kids of Connecticut

Professor Jessica de Perio Wittman has been named to the board of Special Education Equity for Kids of Connecticut. The organization's mission is "break down barriers in special education and increase equity and opportunity for children with disabilities." De Perio Wittman will be formally welcomed at the next board meeting on Jan. 14, 2020, in New Haven.

Peter Kochenburger Gives Presentation to National Association of Insurance Commissioners

Joseph MacDougald '96 Honored for Energy Work

Professor Joseph MacDougald '96, executive director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Law, received a 2019 Excellence in Energy Award from the Connecticut Power & Energy Society on Dec. 11, 2019. The award, which recognized MacDougald for his influence in shaping the Connecticut energy landscape, was presented at the society's annual holiday party at the Connecticut Science Center on Dec. 11, 2019.  

Timothy Fisher to Speak at AALS Annual Meeting

Alexandra D. Lahav to Speak at AALS Annual Meeting

Professor Alexandra D. Lahav will speak at the Litigation and Remedies Joint Program at the 2020 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Law Schools in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 4, 2020. She will moderate a panel discussion on how voting rights remedies are administered, their timing and their limitations.

Professor Leslie C. Levin will speak at the Professional Responsibility program at the 2020 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Law Schools in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 4, 2020. She will participate in a panel discussion on changes to the legal profession, and discuss the possibility of fundamental reconsideration of how societies regulate the legal profession, the practice of law, and the delivery of legal services.
