Professor Sara Bronin spoke about Hartford’s Climate Action Plan at the City of Hartford Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission Friends of Parks Celebration on Sept. 26, 2017, and in a webinar organized by the Governor’s Council on Climate Change Policy on Sept. 6, 2017. She also spoke about The Food Components of Hartford’s Climate Action Plan at the Hartford Food Policy Advisory Commission Annual Breakfast on Oct. 16, 2017. And she addressed the topic Local Climate Action Planning Efforts as the lunchtime keynote speaker at the University of Connecticut Department of Geography Methodologies and Engagement for State Level Climate Assessment Workshop in Storrs on Nov. 6, 2017

Professor Richard Pomp will speak Nov. 8 at the Paul J. Hartman State and Local Tax Forum at Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee. He will debate state and local tax issues with Jordan M. Goodman, a partner in Horwood Marcus & Berk Chartered, in a presentation entitled Pomp vs. Goodman.

Professor Sara Bronin will speak on the topic Zoning for the Post-Industrial City: Hartford’s New Sustainable Form-Based Code at the International Municipal Lawyers Association Conference in Niagara Falls, New York, on Oct. 15, 2017. She will also give the keynote address on the topic of Zoning in Hartford at a Pioneer Valley Development Council Meeting on Nov. 9, 2017 and will speak to the Connecticut Green Bank Peer-to-Peer Network on Dec. 15, 2017 on the topic Hartford’s Zoning Code.

On Sept. 22, 2017, she spoke at the International Urban Law Congress: Architectural Heritage, Sites & Landscapes Seized By Urban Law, held at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, participating in a panel on The Instruments For Protection, Enhancement And Promotion.
