The library is also home to the most comprehensive collection of insurance materials in the country.
The library supports the academic mission of the law school by providing formal and informal legal research instruction, research and document delivery to faculty and research assistance to students in person and virtually. It also serves as liaison to the law school's four academic journals and as an archive for law school materials. A participant in the Federal Depository Library Program, the library is open to the public and is frequented by attorneys, judges and pro se litigants.
The library is staffed by professional employees 90 hours a week, including evenings and weekends, when school is in session. It is home to three classrooms (including a synchronous distance education classroom), 16 group study rooms, an adaptive technology study room, two student lounges and 310 study carrels, with total seating for 814. The library is also the new home of a collaborative work space for the law school's student organizations.
