Description:

If you are a UConn Law student writing a long paper this semester in order to satisfy the school’s Upper Level Writing Requirement (ULWR), this session may be required for you (see Academic Reg 1.5.5.). You are encouraged to attend even if you are not writing your ULWR this semester, but are writing a scholarly paper for another reason; or just want a refresher on research, thesis selection, and/or organization. The session will focus on the basics of researching and drafting a long paper, including research plans, sources, and organization of a paper (Introduction, Background, Analysis). We will also discuss the purpose of a scholarly paper, the process of writing one, and how to narrow your thesis. You do not need to RSVP. There will be a sign-in sheet at the session. Feel free to bring your lunch or dinner.
