Woof, Moo & Grr: A Carnival of Animals in Law Books Reception

Wednesday, May 1, 2019 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm

You are invited to join the opening reception for an exhibit hosted at the Thomas J. Meskill Law Library, University of Connecticut School of Law titled “Woof, Moo & Grr: A Carnival of Animals in Law Books”. A herd of bookish animals ran away from their forests, farms, and prairies, and took up residence in the Yale Law Library’s rare book collection! This traveling exhibit will be on display at the UConn Law Library beginning March 30th through August 1st, 2019. Come and meet them and read their stories-- told in their own words-- and learn about the assorted creatures, great and small, who roam the pages of legal literature. UConn Law is pleased to host this event. Remarks will be given by Timothy Fisher, Dean of University of Connecticut School of Law, Jessica de Perio Wittman, Director of the Law Library, Associate Professor of Law, and Cornelius J. Scanlon Scholar, and Michael Widener, Rare Book Librarian at Yale Law School. The exhibit is curated by writer, filmmaker, and professor of law Mark S. Weiner.
