Dean Fisher will give two talks on Tuesday, February 19th (12:30 pm and/or 5:30 pm), rescheduled from February 12th, on how to open a networking conversation with a three-or four-sentence introduction of yourself. Your “elevator speech” is the vehicle by which you open most professional conversations with someone you are meeting for the first time. It is an art. It also has rules and conventions. It requires preparation and practice. You will have many chances to apply this skill as you build relationships forming the foundation of your professional network. The Center for Career Development's Spring Career Reception on February 20th will present numerous opportunities to do so.
