Refugee Displacement & Resettlement

Tuesday, April 14, 2015 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

This  presentation sponsored by the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project, the Muslim Law Students Association and the Student Bar Association focuses on the current landscape of refugee work from a U.S. perspective with a particular focus on the challenges facing both refugees and practitioners/humanitarian workers during the resettlement process. The presentation hopes to gauge the motivation driving practitioners to choose work in the refugee field, as well as the hurdles faced by and fears of refugees going through the process, and what changes to the system each participant believes would be beneficial.
