Robert J. Lynn '75 Nominated to Head New Hampshire Supreme Court

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu has nominated Robert J. Lynn '75 to serve as the next chief justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Lynn has been an associate justice since December 2010, and served before that as a trial court judge, as chief justice of the New Hampshire Superior Court, as an assistant U.S. attorney and as chief of the New England Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force. He also spent several years in private practice as a partner with Cleveland, Waters & Bass and with McSwiney, Jones, Semple & Douglas.The governor's nomination requires confirmation by the state's elected Executive Council.

Kelly Scott '11 Hired at Pullman & Comley

Kelly Scott '11 has been hired as an associate in the Family Law Practice of Pullman & Comley. Scott has experience in a number of Family Law areas including divorce, property division, alimony, child support, child custody and parenting access. Outside of the firm, Scott participates in the State of Connecticut’s Volunteer Attorney Program in Stamford.

Allen Even '15 Becomes Associate at Hinckley Allen

Allen Even '15 has been made an associate in the Construction and Public Contracts division of Hinckley Allen. Allen has defended a number of construction clients with cases ranging from personal injury to wrongful death actions and OSHA compliance. Before joining Hinckley Allen, he was an associate at Boyle Shaughnessy Law, P.C.

Misti Munster '09 Promoted to Partner

Misti Munster '09 has been elected a partner at Verrill Dana. She works in the firm's Portland, Maine, office and is a member of its Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group. Her practice involves all aspects of counseling employers on benefits and executive compensation matters.

David Rosado '07 Appointed Hartford Police Chief

The Hartford City Council approved the appointment of David Rosado '07 as the city's police chief on Jan. 22, 2018. He will begin work Feb. 8. Rosado has served with the Connecticut State Police for 20 years. In 2016 he was named head of the Office of Administrative Services and promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel. He previously commanded the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, the Office of Field Operations, the Internal Affairs Unit,Troop W at Bradley Airport and Troop H in Hartford. In addition to his JD from UConn School of Law, he holds a BA from UConn and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

Richard Hogan '89 Appointed to Mass. Mortgage Bankers Association Board

Richard Hogan '89 has been appointed to the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association (MMBA) Board of Directors for a two-year term. Hogan has been a member of the MMBA for more than 10 years, and has presented on legal and regulatory matters in the mortgage banking industry a number of times. Hogan is currently Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company. Previously, Hogan worked in the United States Congress and the Connecticut General Assembly.

Sperry DeCew '75, has been named the Chairman of the New Canaan Police Commission. DeCew has been a general practice attorney in New Canaan for 25 years, and has served the community in a number of roles. DeCew served as selectman from 1997 to 1999 and Town Councilman from 1977 to 1989. DeCew currently is involved with the New Canaan Historical Society, New Canaan Public Library Building and Grounds Committee, Kiwanis Club and the Silver Hill Hospital board of directors

Betsy Conway '91 Appointed To Chelsea Groton Board of Trustees

Betsy Conway '91 has been appointed to the Chelsea Groton bank's Board of Trustees. Conway, who is General Counsel of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, became a Corporator of the bank in 2011. In addition to being an attorney, Conway has also been an adjunct professor at UConn School of Law since 2009 and serves on the Board of Trustees at Norwich Free Academy. Before becoming General Counsel of the Tribal Nation in 2016, Conway was a director at Brown Jacobson P.C. and was instrumental in establishing the Indian Law Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association in 1998.
