Robert Fasulo '65, a longtime Connecticut and Florida lawyer and accountant, died on August 3, 2018. Read his obituary.
George E. Blair III '84 has been named the new pastor at Mohegan Congregational Church in Uncasville, Connecticut. Blair comes to the new post having previously served at churches in Connecticut and in three other states.
IFG Companies announced that they have hired John W. Mahoney '89 as senior vice president and chief claim officer. Mahoney will work out of the Hartford office, and will be responsible for managing IFG's national claims organization. Previously, Mahoney worked at Zurich North America.
Murtha Cullina LLP announced the hiring of Joseph D. Szerejko '15 as a litigation attorney. Szerejko will work as a member of the firm's Municipal and Land Use Practice Groups. He previously worked at Cohen and Wolf, P.C.
Matthew McCleery '97 has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Latham Centers, a residential program that offers housing to children and adults with disabilities. McCleery is the president of Maritime Money International and the managing director of Blue Sea Capital, Inc. He lives in Chatham, Massachusetts.
ReedGroup announced that James Venable '92 has joined the company as vice president of compliance. In his new role, Venable will oversee a large team of employment attorneys and compliance experts.
Kathleen M. Koss JD, LLM '14 has been named one of Hartford Business Journal's “40 Under Forty." The award recognizes 40 young professionals in Greater Hartford each year for leadership in their industries. Koss works at Kroll, McNamara, Evans & Delehanty, LLP, where she is commercial real estate associate.
Nisha Kapur '14 has been named to the “40 Under Forty” list by the Hartford Business Journal. The award recognizes 40 young professionals in Greater Hartford each year for leadership in their industries. Kapur works at Murtha Cullina LLP, where she focuses on corporate litigation.
Donal D. Dakers '62, former Army Captain and New Haven chief public defender, died on July 29, 2018. Read his obituary.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has named Doug Dalena '12 his new general counsel, effective August 3, 2018. Dalena has served has deputy general counsel since 2015.
