LLM+ Program

The LLM+ program allows students seeking an LLM degree to broaden their experience and opportunities by adding a semester of practical training through a full-time field placement.

Students with a JD or an international law degree who are admitted to an LLM program at UConn School of Law are eligible apply to the LLM+ program before matriculation or after the first semester of LLM study. Students may seek a field placement in Washington, D.C., during the spring semester, or elsewhere inside or outside the United States during the spring and fall semesters.

The cost of the LLM+ program depends on the number of credits earned during the placement, typically 7 to 12 above the 24 required for the LLM degree.
