Ron and his staff work with alumni and other members of the Law School community who wish to support the advancement of the School through their philanthropy. They work collaboratively with the dean, the Law School Foundation and its board of directors to attract the private funding that is vital to keeping the UConn Law School in the forefront of legal education.
Chris helps to facilitate the Law School’s annual appeals and special reunion class gift projects, manages growth of the school’s leadership giving levels (the GOLD Council, Dean’s Council and above), and works with donors interested in helping to achieve the school’s major capital needs.
Kristina supports the work of the Director and Assistant Director of Development in all ways. In addition, she manages many Development events throughout the year, including Leadership Donor and Scholarship receptions, helps to carry out a stewardship program for all donors who generously support the Law School, and fosters the effective collaboration between the Development Office, Law School Foundation and other offices at the Law School.
Steve is the foundation administrator for The University of Connecticut Law School Foundation, Inc. (LSF). Steve’s financial duties include the preparation of the financial statements, with footnotes, which are audited annually by an external auditing firm. These financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Steve prepares and files the Form 990 which is required by the IRS annually. Numerous state filings are done to satisfy individual state compliance laws. Steve reconciles all unrestricted, temporarily restricted and permanently restricted funds in bank and investment accounts to the general ledger. Steve functions as the liaison with the executive, audit, finance and investment committees of the LSF.
Jen maintains the constituent database. She produces constituent reports and mailing lists for use by various offices at the Law School. In addition, she supports gift entry activities for the Development Office. Jen also prepares class notes for the Communications Office and maintains the online community. Jen is a liaison with the vendors of both the database and the online community.
