Kendra McGuire ’22 has joined Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman as an associate at their Hartford office. She focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, and has previous experience with sports and recreational litigation.
Matthew Ritter ’07 Recognized by the Hartford Business Journal
Matthew Ritter ’07 has been recognized by the Hartford Business Journal as part of their “Power 50 List” for 2024. Ritter is a partner at Shipman & Goodwin, and was named for his service as Speaker of the House of the Connecticut House of Representatives.

Overview Session for the NY Pro Bono Scholars Program

UConn Law
The New York Pro Bono Scholars Program, an initiative of the New York courts, is designed to prepare students for the practice of law and to provide much needed legal assistance to underserved populations. Offered in the spring semester, students participating in this program take the bar exam in February of their final semester and then complete 12 weeks of fieldwork with a qualifying organization, along with a course component, for 12 academic credits. If you are interested in learning more about this program for spring 2025, please join me on Wednesday, April 3rd for an overview session. Please note: students must apply to participate in this program and the application is due no later than May 31, 2024 for spring 2025.
This overview session will take place in the UConn Law Library - Room #202 from 12:30 – 1:30PM.
