New Hires

Students who have never worked in an on-campus job at the School of Law must complete a number of required forms prior to the start of employment. It is only after receiving confirmation by e-mail from the Student Employment Program staff that a student may begin working. Any work performed prior to receiving this employment confirmation is considered volunteer work for which the only compensation is intrinsic reward.

Required paperwork for all new student workers

An individual student's enrollment status, citizenship and employment eligibility may require the completion of additional pre-employment forms. Information is available online for typical student scenarios.

  • International students: Student is neither a U.S. citizen nor a resident alien of the U.S.A.
  • Non-UConn students: Student is not enrolled at Uconn, but is enrolled at another accredited educational institution.
  • Multiple on-campus jobs: Student is currently working at the School of Law and has accepted an additional offer of on-campus employment.
  • Students under 18: Student is a legal minor, less than than 18 years of age.
