Scribes - The American Society of Legal Writers - 2010 Brief-Writing Competition
Deadline
Description
Scribes is pleased to announce its 2010 Brief-Writing Competition. The Scribes Brief-Writing Committee solicits winning briefs from national moot-court competitions and selects the finest of those winning briefs. This year's winning author or authors will be recognized at the Scribes Annual Meeting, held during the American Bar Association meeting in San Francisco, on August 7, 2010. Plaques will be awarded to the winning authors and their school. The competition covers the current school year - 9/09 to 5/10. Any moot-court team that writes the best brief in a national moot-court competition or the best brief in any preliminary regional competition held before a national competition may enter the Scribes competition. An electronic submission must be made no later than April 16, 2010. Specific instructions for submission may be obtained from Professor Mailly. For other questions about the competition, contact Norman Plate at platen@cooley.edu or 517-371-5140.
