Spring 2010 Legal Externship Opportunities
 
WHAT EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE HARTFORD? 
Currently there are opportunities in both the Simsbury and Hartford, CT offices within our Property & Casualty Law, Life Law, Tax Law, Securities Compliance and Investment Law.  These are unpaid opportunities for up to three course credits during the 2010 spring semester.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
The extern will work with various members of the Law Department. The responsibilities include:
  • Conducting legal research and providing basic legal services
  • Drafting legal memorandums, correspondence, reports and summaries
  • Handling legal matters under the supervision of Law Department attorneys
  • Providing assistance to attorneys as requested
