ASECA Securities Law Writing Competition - 2009

The Association of Securities and Exchange Commission Alumni, Inc. (ASECA) sponsors an annual writing competition, which awards prizes for outstanding papers in the field of securities law. Qualifying papers may address any subject in the field of securities law.
Three cash prizes will be awarded at ASECA's annual dinner on Friday, February 5, 2010 in Washington DC: $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place and $2,000 for third place. Award winners will be invited to the dinner, which is attended by the SEC Chairman, Commission and many SEC senior staff members. The first place winner will be reimbursed up to $1,000 in travel and lodging expenses.
Papers need not have been published, but must be of publishable quality. Papers published in any law journal or other publication during calendar year 2009, and papers scheduled for publication in 2009 or 2010 are eligible for submission. Co-authored papers are not eligible.
To enter the competition, two copies of each submission should be sent to ASECA, P.O. Box 5767, Washington, DC 20016. The best paper will be chosen by the Board of Directors of ASECA.
