Change in Citizenship, Immigration or Naturalization Status

The Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification must be updated whenever a student worker changes citizenship or has a change in Visa status. Students whose immigration or naturalization situation has changed, must come to the School of Law's Student Employment Program Office to complete a new I-9 form and present new documents for review.

A list of acceptable documents to present when completing the I-9, are available online.

It may also be necessary for the student worker to complete additional forms, including a new Foreign National Information Form in addition to the new I-9.
