Federalist Society

Federalist Society is a nationwide organization of generally conservative and libertarian law students, professors, lawyers and judges who are interested in discussing alternative viewpoints to the current state of legal thought. The primary principle of the Society is that it is the duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be (The Federalist No. 78). The Society, which sponsors conferences, lectures, debates and publications, is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The purpose of the Law School chapter is to work closely with other chapters and the national office in sponsoring such events on campus.
