Take Home Exam Information

The take home exam period is posted on the academic calendar. Exams are self-scheduled by the student and may be completed at any time between 12:01am on the opening day, and 11:59pm on the closing day of the exam period. The duration of the exam is determined by the instructor, though no take home exam may exceed 24 hours.

Take home exams, like other exams, are taken using a blind grading system. Exam numbers for take home exams are distributed to students in advance of the take home exam period. Exam questions and answers are downloaded and uploaded to a secure web site, thus permitting students to complete take home exams at their convenience, from any location accessible to the internet. The installation of special software is not required for the completion of take homes.

Anyone experience any problems with a take home exam should email the registrar's office.
