Through a partnership between Robinson & Cole LLP, the Law School and the Hartford Public School System, students entering the Law & Government Academy at Hartford Public High School were provided with an opportunity to build important academic skills while learning about the law under the guidance of Mariedy Collazzo ’10 and other first- and second-year UConn Law students, known as the Robinson & Cole LLP Law and Government Community Teaching Fellows.
Robinson & Cole LLP, the Law School and Hartford Public Schools have partnered to provide academic skill building opportunities to tenth graders at Hartford Public High.
Profile: Krystyna Blakeslee '09
After high school, Krystyna Marie Blakeslee enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and spent five months serving in Iraq in 2003. She now believes that the discipline, self-confidence, and perseverance she learned there played a big part in who she has become.
“I have always made an effort to take the chances that have come my way, and to continue to do that is probably one of my biggest challenges,” says Blakeslee, who graduated from the School of Law on May 17.

Jessica Stein '11 has been selected by Equal Justice Works as a member of their Summer Corps. Stein will work during for New York Legal Assistance Group. Stein was among 420 law students selected by Equal Justice Works to receive an award to support summer work serving the public interest.
