Urban Land Fellow
Pedro E. Segarra '85, mayor of the City of Hartford, has been named one of four recipients of a 2013 fellowship from The Urban Land Institute.
According to its Web site, The Urban Land Institute's fellows program "was established in 1996 to enhance the Institute’s role of raising awareness of its mission to provide leadership in the responsible use of land. ULI Fellows explore, research, document and educate ULI members and stakeholders across its global network."

Malloy to the board of directors of Connecticut Innovations, an organization that provides capital and operational insight to new technology companies in Connecticut. Criminal Justice Reform
Jennifer L. Zito '88 has been recognized by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) with its second Champion of State Criminal Justice Reform Award for her work to reform the state's criminal justice system. According to the NACDL's press release, this award honors individuals or groups whose exceptional efforts have led toward progressive reform of a state criminal justice system. Zito is a solo practitioner in Meriden, CT.
