Alexandra Lahav
Alexandra Lahav joined the Faculty as Associate Professor of Law in August 2004. Professor Lahav's scholarly and teaching interests include civil rights, civil procedure, complex litigation, class actions, professional responsibility and legal history. Prior to joining the faculty, she was a teaching fellow and visiting lecturer at Stanford Law School. From 1999 to 2002, Professor Lahav was associated with the firm Emery Cuti Brinckerhoff and Abady, PC (now Emery Celli Brinckerhoff and Abady) in New York, a boutique firm specializing in civil rights litigation. She litigated police misconduct, First Amendment retaliation, intellectual property and other cases, and worked on the largest civil rights class action settlement in New York history. Professor Lahav received her B.A. from Brown University and J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she served as an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. She clerked for Justice Alan Handler of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
