The Insurance Law Center is hosting a symposium in Washington D.C. on February 7 and 8 titled "The Political Economy of Financial Regulation." Professors Patricia A. McCoy and James Kwak will be presenters at the conference.
The symposium is being held in tandem with the Center for Law, Economics and Finance at George Washington University Law School, the Center for Banking and Finance at the University of North Carolina School of Law, and the Institute for Law and Economic Policy . It will bring together legal scholars, regulators, judges, practitioners, economists, political theorists and other social scientists to discuss the role of the political process in financial services regulation and the role of money in both.
