Misti Munster '09 has been recognized as "Katahdin Counsel" by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court for completion of 50 or more hours of pro bono work in her community. Munster is an associate at the Portland, ME office of Verrill Dana LLP.

According to the State of Maine Judicial Branch Website, "The Katahdin Counsel Recognition Program was created by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, in response to a proposal by the Justice Action Group, to focus the public's attention on the critical role that pro bono publico plays in maintaining a vibrant civil justice system."

  • Chad Landmon '99 has been recognized by the University of Connecticut Honors Program with its 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award.

  • On May 9, Paul Arce '15, Odette Martins '15, Samem Jabarkhail '15 and Raymond Withers-Tong '15 were recognized by the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity at a ceremony celebrating Edwin Archer Randolph.

  • The Connecticut Law Review has recognized Dorrance Sexton, Jr. '68, the editor-in-chief of the first independent Connecticut Law Review, with the 2013 Connecticut Law Review Award.

  • Cecil Thomas '06 will receive the 2013 Judge Maxwell Heiman Memorial Award from the Hartford County Bar Association on April 24. Thomas is a staff attorney for Greater Hartford Legal Aid.
