  • Andraya Pulaski '13 clearly remembers the day she decided she wanted to be a lawyer. She was 10 and spent a day shadowing a friend’s father at his firm. Now she is on the verge of fulfilling that dream.

  • On May 21, Professor Richard A. Wilson will present "International Law of Speech Crimes" as part of a series of guest lectures at the International Criminal Court, The Netherlands. 

  • On May 20, the Law School's Insurance Law Center will present a symposium on Lawyers Professional Liability. The event is being presented in cooperation with the Hartford Chapter of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.

  • On May 17, Professor Richard Pomp will be a presenter at the 10th Annual New Mexico Tax Policy Conference in Albuquerque.

  • On May 15, Professor Darcy Kirk will be the luncheon speaker at the annual meeting of the New Jersey Law Librarians Association where she will update the group on the activities of the Association of American Law Libraries (AALL). Kirk currently serves as president of the AALL.

  • Professor Richard A. Wilson will deliver three talks in Oslo, Norway on May 14 and 15 including "Gangster's Paradise? Framing Crime in Sub-Saharan Africa" at the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo.

  • On May 10, Professor Bethany Berger will moderate a discussion at the Progressive Property 2013 faculty workshop at the Loyola University, New Orleans, College of Law. 

  • On May 10, Professor Peter Kochenburger will moderate a discussion with Therese M. Vaughan and Karel Van Hulle at the International Insurance Forum event in Washington, DC.

  • On May 7, Professor Richard Pomp will present "The Hottest of Nationwide Developments" at the New York State Bar Association's 17th Annual NYS & City Tax Institute.

  • On April 30, Professor James Stark will be a co-presenter for "Starting a Law School Clinic or Advising a Prospective Clinical Student: Mediation First?" at the 2013 Association of American Law Schools Clinical Legal Education Conference.

  • On April 29, Professor Miriam Marton will present her paper, "The Need for an Interdisciplinary Approach in Asylum Matters," at the 2013 Association of American Law Schools Clinical Legal Education Conference.

  • On April 29, Professors Jon Bauer and James Stark will be panelists for "Mediation First, or Last? A Conversation" at the 2013 Association of American Law Schools Clinical Legal Education Conference.

  • On April 26, Professor Joseph A. MacDougald will participate in a panel on "Thinking Differently and Building Better: Recovering from Sandy with Resiliency" at the 22nd Annual Long Island Sound Citizens Summit.

  • On April 25, Professor Kent Newmyer will be a featured speaker in the Bietler Lecture Series at the University of Pennsylvania where he will present a talk on his latest book, The Treason Trial of Aaron Burr.

  • On April 25, Professor Peter Lindseth will speak in Florence, Italy at a conference on the Eurozone Crisis organized by the European University Institute and the Financial Institutions Center at the Wharton School.

  • On April 19, Professor Patricia A. McCoy will speak at the 2013 Credit Markets Symposium sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank for Richmond.

  • On April 22, Interim Dean Willajeanne McLean will meet with members of the Law School community for the last "Are You Happy? Hour" of the semester.

  • On April 19, Associate Dean Leslie Levin will be a panelist at the National Conference of Bar Examiners' Annual Bar Admissions Conference in Boston.

  • On April 19, Professor Peter Kochenburger will be a panelist for an American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section panel, "Current Issues in Insurance Regulation 2013."

  • On April 18, Professor Sara Bronin will participate in a panel on "Solar Access & Zoning" at Solar 2013, the national conference for the American Solar Energy Society.

  • On April 17, Associate Dean Steven Wilf will present a faculty workshop on "Patents & Populists" at Pace University School of Law.

  • On April 16, Professor Peter Lindseth will be the guest speaker in the European Law Seminar at NYU Law School where he will address the Eurozone Crisis.

  • On April 16, Professor Peter Kochenburger will be a speaker at "Cover Yourself (and Your Client): Critical Insurance Considerations When Prosecuting or Defending Civil Actions," a continuing legal education course offered by the Law School and the Connecticut Bar Association.

  • On April 12, Professor Richard Wilson will present "The Crime of Incitement: Propaganda and Media in International Criminal Tribunal Judgments" at the University of Virginia School of Law.
