Michelle S. Cruz is a graduate of the Law School and holds a B.A. in Philosophy. She served as an assistant district attorney in Massachusetts and specialized in prosecuting crimes involving victims. In 2007, Professor Cruz was appointed by Governor M. Jodi Rell as the state victim advocate where she worked to improve the field of domestic violence, advocated for laws that enhanced the rights of crime victims, and shed light on flaws with the RREC program. Professor Cruz's column, "Truth Serum," appears regularly in the Connecticut Law Tribune. She has a private practice in Hartford, serving clients in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
