Alan Bennett attended UConn as an undergraduate. He received his J.D. from Columbia University in 1972, later worked at the FDA as a staffer for the U.S. Senate, and then went on to work in private practice. Professor Bennett's practice has focused on the regulation of medical products, with a particular emphasis on the regulation of advertising and promotion, and on competitive issues under the Hatch-Waxman Act involving IP and non-IP exclusivity.
