Professor Levin teaches Lawyering Process, Legal Profession, and Evidence. She is a 1976 graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and received her law degree from Columbia Law School in 1979. Following graduation, she served as a law clerk for Judge Robert W. Sweet in the Southern District of New York. Professor Levin worked at Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler, a New York law firm, for 14 years, where she represented media clients and engaged in commercial litigation. She served on the law firm's Ethics Committee and as Secretary to the Committee on Professional and Judicial Ethics of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She has taught at Columbia Law School (as an adjunct faculty member) and at New York University School of Law (as an instructor in the Lawyering Program). Her research and writings focus on professional responsibility issues.
