Catastrophic Risk Insurance

  • When: March 23, 2006, 8:15 am - 5:00 pm

In 2005, insurers suffered their highest property losses in history. Congress has just signaled that its short-term extension of TRIA will not be repeated and, therefore, a viable long-term solution must be urgently addressed. These issues have left insurers, their customers, and regulators with many difficult questions about catastrophic risk insurance and very little time to resolve them.

To analyze these developments and to help develop strategic responses, the Washington, DC law firm of Wiley Rein & Fielding and the University of Connecticut Insurance Law Center are co-sponsoring a full-day conference on March 23, 2006, in Washington, DC. The interactive program will bring together a distinguished group of more than 20 experts representing government, industry, consumers and academia.
