Why should law school users search Web of Science? If you are doing research on the subject of patents, insurance, tax, social welfare, public health, medicine, women's studies, etc., you might find additional helpful information by searching this database.
How do you search Web of Science? Using the Quick Search option allows you to enter a term and get a quick result; a search for the term credit scoring, for example, will generate about 170 articles. The General Search option allows you to search by author, publication year, source title, etc. You can further restrict your search by language and document type. You can find the citation to a person's work by entering the person's name and publication year. For example, searching baker dw will generate a list of works by DW Baker published in different years.
Although Web of Science is a citation database, it does give you a link to some full text databases subscribed to by UConn Libraries. Try it today and you may find that it provides excellent supplemental coverage on the research topics you have been working on, aside from the databases on Lexis and Westlaw.
