The US and International Law
Professor Mark W. Janis will be delivering a series of lectures on "The United States and International Law" beginning October 24 through October 26 at the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands.
Professor Janis teaches Public International Law, European Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law, and Conflict of Laws. He is the author of three widely-used books: International Law (Aspen 5th edition 2008), Cases and Commentary on International Law with John Noyes (West 4th edition 2011), and European Human Rights Law with Richard Kay and Anthony Bradley (Oxford 3d edition 2008). He also is the author of The American Tradition of International Law: Great Expectations (Oxford 2004), America and the Law of Nations 1776-1939 (Oxford 2010), and of more than 60 articles concerning public and private international law. He is the co-editor of Religion and International Law (Martinus Nijhoff 2nd edition 2004) and International Law Stories (Foundation 2007).

On May 17, Professor Richard Pomp will be a presenter at the 10th Annual New Mexico Tax Policy Conference in Albuquerque.

On May 15, Professor Darcy Kirk will be the luncheon speaker at the annual meeting of the New Jersey Law Librarians Association where she will update the group on the activities of the Association of American Law Libraries (AALL). Kirk currently serves as president of the AALL.
