UConn Co-op
The UConn Co-op is the official bookstore for the University of Connecticut. We serve all of the UConn campuses throughout the state of Connecticut. The UConn Co-op at the School of Law's hours for the Fall, Spring and Summer I semesters are as follows:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 6:30p
- Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
- Closed on Holidays and Weekends
Due to shorter hours during Summer II and semester breaks please call to check our store hours.
Textbooks
The Co-op partners with faculty to provide all of the textbooks and course materials you need for classes. Used books are offered whenever possible to save students money on their textbook purchases. When available, used books are priced 25% less than the new price. During the 2006-07 school year, students saved over $16,000 by purchasing used textbooks here.
Buyback
At the end of each semester, during finals, students can sell their textbooks back to the Co-op. In the school year of 2006-07 students at the School of Law received over $40,000 at buyback for their textbooks. If we know a textbook will be used for a course the next semester we will pay you half of the new price, regardless if you bought it new or used. For example, if you purchased a used book at the beginning of a semester for $75 that sells new for $100, we will pay you $50 at buyback if we know it will be used the next semester. You only receive half of the new book price when we know for sure a specific textbook will be used the next semester and the quantities we purchase are limited. Books should have limited highlighting, writing and underlining in them. During buyback we also offer "wholesale" pricing for books that are not being used the next semester. A wholesale price is offered for certain books by an outside national wholesaler that buys the books from us to sell nationally to other college bookstores as supply and demand dictates.
UConn School of Law Clothing, Gifts & More
The Co-op sells only officially licensed UConn clothing and gifts. Some of our clothing and gifts can be purchased on-line. We also have a large selection of study aides, a selection of general books, phone cards, stamps, greeting cards, student supplies, snacks, fresh coffee and cold drinks to hold you between meals. Computers & software are available at academic pricing levels only to current UConn students, staff and faculty! We now carry iPod Nanos and other technology in the store! We also have certified technicians available in Storrs in case your computer needs repair. You can drop off the repair at this location. The UConn Co-op is a not-for-profit cooperative and is owned and governed by its members: You the student, faculty, staff and alumni of the University of Connecticut.
