Towing

The University reserves the right to tow vehicles that present a traffic hazard, impede the normal or emergency function of the UConn Police Department and Facilities Management, and/or are parked overnight. Authority to tow a vehicle rests with the UConn Police Department. Illegally parked vehicles may be towed without notice to the operator. Legally parked vehicles that must be moved because of emergencies or interference with University activities will be towed only after reasonable effort has been made to locate the operator. The responsibility for payment of all towing charges for vehicles towed will be that of the registrant, or, in lieu thereof, the registered owner.
