Stephen Utz Named Fulbright
Professor Stephen Utz has been named a Fulbright Senior Specialist. This spring he will be serving on the Law Faculty of the Free University of Berlin where he will be teaching a course in the Taxation of Internationally Active Enterprises. He will work in collaboration with Professor Markus Heintzen on Public Debt in the United States, Germany and the European Union: A Constitutional Perspective.
Professor Utz teaches Federal Income Taxation, Federal Taxation of Partners and Partnerships, Federal Taxation of Corporations, Tax Policy and Property. He has taught at this law school since 1983, with visiting professorships at Trinity College, Hartford (1988, 1990, 1992), the Law Faculty of the University of Aix-Marseille (1995, 2007), New York University School of Law (1996), and the Free University of Berlin (2006-2009). Professor Utz’s writings include the books, Tax Policy: A Survey and Introduction to the Principal Debates (1993) and Federal Income Taxation of Partners and Partnerships (1995), and articles in a variety of law school and professional journals on tax and philosophical topics.

On May 17, Professor Richard Pomp will be a presenter at the 10th Annual New Mexico Tax Policy Conference in Albuquerque.

On May 15, Professor Darcy Kirk will be the luncheon speaker at the annual meeting of the New Jersey Law Librarians Association where she will update the group on the activities of the Association of American Law Libraries (AALL). Kirk currently serves as president of the AALL.

Professor Richard A. Wilson will deliver three talks in Oslo, Norway on May 14 and 15 including "Gangster's Paradise? Framing Crime in Sub-Saharan Africa" at the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo.
