Connecticut Judicial Branch law librarians have posted a number of legal research guides (aka "Pathfinders") that specifically pertain to Connecticut law.  If your summer internship is in Connecticut or if you are planning on practicing in Connecticut you need to be familiar with this resource.  They maintain a subject organized comprehensive page of Pathfinders on Connecticut law.  These run the gamut from Assumed Names to Wedding Presents.   If you are in a Family Law practice you should take a look at the Connecticut Family Law Notebooks - just scroll down to the bottom of the Pathfinder page to download the PDF files.

Still wondering about the best subject-specific Connecticut treatise to use?  Here are two useful resources:

  1. First, Mary Tartaglia at Quinnipiac University School of Law Library has prepared a link to their online catalog showing the Connecticut Core Collection of Treatises contained in the Quinnipiac collection.  You can find the link at mid-page here.
  2. Next, the Judicial Branch has prepared a subject-specific list called the Connecticut Treatise Index.  This is a comprehensive 10 page list of virtually every treatise available on Connecticut law.

And don't forget that our law librarians here at the UConn Law Library are familiar with these resources.  If you have a question, just come ask us.
