Replacement of Decal for Vehicle Sale/Disposal or Other Reason

The sale or transfer of a registered vehicle and the acquisition of a replacement vehicle must be reported to the UConn Police Department in order to receive a replacement decal/permit. The original decal or identifiable remnants must be presented to the UConn Police Department. There is a $5 fee charged for replacement permits when evidence of destruction of the original decal cannot be provided. The University of Connecticut assumes no responsibility for decals and permits once they leave the UConn Police Department. If your decal/permit is lost, stolen, damaged or is left on the principal vehicle when it is sold or traded, a new permit may be issued by application through the UConn Police Department for a $5 fee.
