Pedagogy: Teaching Local 1330
On February 25, Professor Michael Fischl will participate in a conference at Harvard Law School honoring the 30th anniversary of Local 1330 v. U.S. Steel, sponsored by Unbound, Harvard’s Journal of the Legal Left. He will speak on a panel entitled “Pedagogy: Teaching Local 1330” with Professors Karl Klare and Joseph Singer.
Professor Fischl's teaching and research interests focus on labor and employment law, legal theory, and legal education, and his work has appeared in Columbia Law Review, Law & Social Inquiry, and numerous other law journals. He is co-editor (with Joanne Conaghan and Karl Klare) of Labor Law in an Era of Globalization: Transformative Practices and Possibilities (Oxford 2002); and co-chair of Intell, an international network of progressive scholars and practitioners in the labor and employment law field. In 2006, he was the recipient of the Golden Apple award for outstanding teaching and service at the University of Miami where he served on the law faculty for 23 years.

On May 15, Professor Darcy Kirk will be the luncheon speaker at the annual meeting of the New Jersey Law Librarians Association where she will update the group on the activities of the Association of American Law Libraries (AALL). Kirk currently serves as president of the AALL.

Professor Richard A. Wilson will deliver three talks in Oslo, Norway on May 14 and 15 including "Gangster's Paradise? Framing Crime in Sub-Saharan Africa" at the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo.

On May 10, Professor Bethany Berger will moderate a discussion at the Progressive Property 2013 faculty workshop at the Loyola University, New Orleans, College of Law.
