"New" Titles in Reference Collection

Now that the renovation of the library’s reference section is complete, several multi-volume classic works have been relocated from other parts of the library to the reference collection. These include the following:

  • Causes of Action - Each volume in this set contains several case studies or articles focused on specific trial practice issues. Each article analyzes the elements of a particular cause of action and explains how the elements can be proved. Checklists and sample pleading forms are included, as well as references to law review articles, legal encyclopedias, and other secondary sources.

  • American Jurisprudence Trials - Authored by more than 300 prominent trial attorneys, judges, and other legal experts, this multi-volume work details successful trial techniques in hundreds of model trial articles that cover the spectrum of personal injury, business, and criminal litigation. It provides step-by-step guidance through all phases of trial, from initial client interview to post-trial motions and appeals. Checklists, sample litigation aids, sample opening statements and final arguments, and model pleading, discovery, and motion forms are included.

  • American Jurisprudence Proof of Facts - This set explains how to determine the facts essential to winning a case and how to prove them for a wide range of civil litigation and selected criminal defense topics, including personal injury/torts, employment litigation, real estate litigation, business torts, and commercial litigation. Sample proofs in detailed question-and-answer format show you how to prove specific facts. Strategies and aids that cover every stage of trial preparation are also provided, including sample pleadings, motions, and other documents.
