Reforming Our Universities: The Campaign for an Academic Bill of Rights by David Horowitz has just been added to the library’s "new book shelf."
This provocative book asserts that a left-wing bias so prevalent on most college campuses today quashes the free exchange of ideas and allows liberal professors, more interested in indoctrinating students than educating them, to present only one side of the issues. The author, himself a former leftist, advocates for the adoption of an "Academic Bill of Rights" to protect students, rather than faculty, who want to think for themselves.
