The Happy Lawyer: Making a Good Life in the Law by Nancy Levit and Douglas O. Linder has just been added to the "new book shelf" on the library’s third floor.

The book examines why so many lawyers are dissatisfied with their work and provides practical advice for both aspiring and practicing lawyers on how to have happier and more fulfilling professional lives.

Are older lawyers happier than younger lawyers with their careers? Are lawyers in smaller firms happier than lawyers in larger firms? Are graduates of first-tier law schools happier than graduates of fourth-tier law schools? The book provides a review of the current research on "happiness" and uses the information to answer these questions and more.
