Boston Globe Historical provides coverage of everyday life in historical New England, as well as "Yankee" perspectives on local and national events, politics, culture, business, religion, and other topics, from 1872 to 1979.

Los Angeles Times Historical provides unique coverage of the development of Southern California and the American West, from 1881 to 1987.
Both databases include full text searchable digital images of every page, and you can browse complete issues, cover to cover.
