Loyola LA Raises Everyone's Grades ... remember this post from earlier this week?  Now 3 Geeks and a Law Blog have posted their analysis of the grade inflation phenomenon.  Their advice?  They also recommend looking at class standing, not overall GPA -

"...quit focusing on the red herring of inflating your grades and start working on improving your overall class ranking. If you can't improve that, then work on those skills and relationships that will make you better prepared for the transition from the academic world into the real world of the business of being a lawyer."

Knowing how to write persuasively and do efficient, effective research is of far more benefit to an employer than the empty promise of a high GPA.

After the jump...

More from late Friday, this post by Beth Adelman on the Law Librarian Blog.  Beth briefly considers the impact of the ABA Standards.  it seems that Loyola LA's actions are ill conceived on many different levels.
