Mark Janis has kindly presented me with the just released 6th edition of International Law, part of the Aspen Student Treatise published by Wolters Kluwer (376 pp.).  I would say it is hot off the presses, but I'm not sure presses are hot anymore.  In any event, the new edition seeks  to capture "the spirit of our transition to the post-Cold War era [by offering] introductions to such recent topics as the specter of international terrorism, the emerging complexities of international organizations, [and] the proliferation of international courts and tribunals."    As always, the book is a sure-footed companion to anyone interested in the sort of basic introduction that can only be written by a subtle expert.

Congratulations Mark on yet another contribution to the dean's bookshelf.
