Biography

Alan Kosloff has enjoyed the practice of environmental law for over 38 years in both the public and private sectors. From 1971 until 1981, he has held various positions in both federal and state government including key positions with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection and the Office of the Attorney General, State of Connecticut. From 1981 to the present, Professor Kosloff has been engaged in the private practice of law, focusing on environmental regulatory matters, environmental litigation, site remediation and the purchase, sale and finance of environmentally impaired real estate. Alan is co-author of a two-volume treatise entitled, Connecticut Environmental Practice, Kosloff and Batchelor, Butterworth Legal Publishers (1993). He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. From 1994 until 2002, he was an adjunct professor at the Law School, where he taught a course in Water Pollution Control Law. He currently is of counsel to the law firm of Levy & Droney, P.C., Farmington, Connecticut.
