This summer marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of the Pulitzer Prize winning novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This classic work involves a small-town lawyer in the Deep South who represents a black man unjustly accused of raping a white woman. A series of summer events are planned throughout the country to commemorate the anniversary, including readings by bestselling authors and famous Americans, panel discussions, and courtroom re-enactments of the case.

Our copy of the novel (reviewed here) is located in the 3rd floor reading lounge. You can also listen to Sissy Spacek’s audiobook recording or check out a DVD of the movie based on the novel.
