ILLiad Interlibrary Loan Service

Books and journal articles that are not available at the law library can be requested through our ILLiad Interlibrary Loan Service. Law school students, faculty, and staff can register for this service through our Interlibrary Loan Services page. Just click on First-time users, register here, follow the instructions, and submit a completed registration form, which must include your law school email address.

Once registered, you can logon with a Username and Password. Your Username is the first letter of your first name followed by the first seven letters of your last name. You can choose your own password and change it at any time or reset it from the logon screen if you forget it. Please review Interlibrary Loan Information, Policies and Procedures and ILLiad Registration Guide  for more details.

Your ILLiad Main Menu lists various request options on the left side of the screen. You can complete a Book Loan form to borrow a book or submit a completed Photocopy/Article form to request a copy of an article or a chapter from a non-circulating volume. You can check on the status of outstanding requests, access electronically-received articles in pdf, display a list of checked out items, monitor due dates, request renewals, and view your request history.

You can also request items directly through WorldCat by displaying the record for the item you want and clicking on the ILL link. Logon to ILLiad at the prompt and the WorldCat information will transfer to an ILLiad request form. If you are requesting an article, you must enter complete article details in the appropriate boxes. Click on Submit Request and a Transaction Number will display when your request is sent. See WorldCat Search Tips for additional instructions.
