According to a recent article in the Connecticut Law Tribune, Connecticut law firms have started to hire again despite economic conditions.
Robinson and Cole, for example, the state’s largest Connecticut-based firm, is adding 15 or more lawyers to its practice, and New Jersey-based McCarter & English recently added 9 lawyers to its Hartford office. Hiring is also picking up at other large firms, and out-of-state firms have been opening offices in Connecticut.
While some of the hiring represents lateral movement among firms, new staff is also being added as firms experience new growth and higher revenues.
